Lotte van Es (she/her) is a curator, writer & researcher specializing in contemporary photography and visual culture.She also likes to make wonky ceramics.
With a background in art history and curatorial studies, she has worked extensively in the field of photography and contemporary art, holding positions at Huis Marseille, Museum for Photography in Amsterdam, De Pont Museum in Tilburg, Fotofestival Naarden and Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.
Her practice focuses on the intersection of identity, social engagement, and representation, with a particular interest in how different perspectives shape visual narratives.
In addition to her curatorial work, she serves as a board member of Neighborhood Feminists
a foundation advocating for social change through grassroots initiatives.
She holds a MA Art History & Curatorial Studies
(cum laude) and a BA Arts, Culture & Media from the University of Groningen.
